I founded LMG Public Relations, LLC, after a 20-year career in journalism and public relations working in newspapers, radio, magazines, the corporate world, public affairs and government. I serve as my firm's principal and CEO. I have worked for the Los Angeles Daily News, Farmers Insurance, Toyota Motor Sales, the City of West Hollywood and the County of Los Angeles and served as the director of communications for the L. A. County Department of Children and Family Services, the largest child welfare agency in the country. At the agency, I was able to increase the positive image of the department both externally and internally.
I began my career as a journalist telling community stories and reporting on breaking news. These early years honed my storytelling skills. An expert in crisis communications, I have interacted with worldwide, national and local media to lead the crisis response of agencies and organizations. I routinely work directly with CEOs, policy-makers, agency directors and boards to lead their media prep, coaching and communications strategy.
