Public Relations, Harvey Weinstein & Harassment: Ready for a Crisis?

 

Harassment isn't just a showbiz thing. 

The klieg light of attention focused on Harvey Weinstein, Bill O'Reilly and others will shift to corporations. 

In my latest CommPRO.biz article I note that nondisclosure agreements have delayed the day of reckoning for many and created perverse outcomes. 

I also argue that these agreements are part of a two-tier system in which those close to the wealthy or powerful may be paid millions of dollars for their silence, whle most others are powerless, and have to deal with abusive behavior or leave their jobs.

As more women speak out about harassment, there will be many communicators afraid this Halloween that their company may be next in the spotlight.
